we are going to be putting a y8 head on my friend 98 lx d16b i believe non vtec sohc 1.6
question
which head gasket? does it really matter?
all i need to do is wire vtec correct?
we will be having a jumper harness and a p28 and then boost later on.

 

y8 headgasket.not sure if all the 96-00 are the same.but ive always used the headgasket for the head im using.

 

awesome and as for wiring what kind of things do i need other than to wire vtec? is it all compatable? and plug in a go?

 

Don't forget the oil passage.

oil passage? This isn't the B series. Searching will give you more answers then waiting for lazy ****** ******* like me to post. It has been done a billion times...I did this back in god knows when. Wiring vtec is easy...just follow directions from diagrams. Its not rocket scientist!

 

i just cant seem to find a good write up yea i have done one on a b series.
