welll my current return line setup consists of a leaky 3/8" ID silicone hose (bad i know) worm clamped onto brass barbed fittings. i had to ditch the SS lines/fittings and use those because the turbo sits like a couple inches away from the pan and had to improvise. i've been putting off fixing it until now, oil has started to leak out of the exhaust housing and i think my return line is the culprit. anyway i went out and found the best stuff that i could find:

i have two pushlock/socketless -10 AN fittings and a -10 AN pushlock hose that is rated to 212 degrees. would that be okay to run? im afraid it will melt.... i do have some reflective heat wrap but i was wondering how hot the oil itself gets. would the heat wrap actually work to prevent any heatsoak to the hose? thanks in advance

 

it should be alright. I ran heater hose for mine for quite a while without any melting problems, and I think that was only rated to like 170

Yeah just get some tranny/oil cooler line. It is oil resistant and can handle the heat. It is pretty cheap, hell ya need 12" max for a return line

 

get a foot of it at the parts store for 1.19

 

Yes it's fine. Oil return sees about zero pressure and sits far enough under the manifold and hotside that it'll be fine. I've seen some janky *** heater hose return lines not even clamped on and they did fine, so what you've got will do the trick.
