Default I ------- LOVE YOU TYRUS

I just got your intercooler installed that you went out of the way to make and ship to me even though the group buy had already ended (very much appreciated).

It was a little rough, with Onyx' help we hacked out the bumper and installed a cheesy looking grill to prevent rocks for the most part from smashing up that intercooler. Then we used self tapping sheet metal screws to hold the aluminum tabs up against the bumper support.

All in all it was a very good fit for a 97 del sol s, with a 94 del sol bumper (no, I don't know how the ---- it got on there).

I've been driving around with it all night tonight, and god damn it helped reduce my air temperature so much. I experienced a minor boost drop, but I think thats because the piping went up from 1.75" to 2.5" from everything passed the turbo. But its so nice to be able to touch the pipes and the intercooler itself.

Onyx will have pics for me to post up sometime in the near future I hope.

BUT I ------- LOVE YOU FOR IT TYRUS

Picture boy to the rescue...

First off, this is what we cut out of the bumper. Bumpers are uselss anyway right?

Here is what it looks like complete with the gay screen we got at home depot for $3.91 for a 2ftx8ft piece.

This is a close up shot of the cheap *** screen and the IC. The endtanks on the IC are covered prety good by the 2 mout supports on the bumper. There isnt much left of the backside ofhte bumper. Jeff would be happy to see the Sol being hacked at like it was.

Here is a shot of the previous setup with the old IC lessthan 3 inches from teh turbo obsorbing all the heat possable.

Here is a better pict of the old setup. The IC was way too high and too close to the turbo. if it was down a but more and further away from the turbo it would work great. Below the inket pipe and the outlet pipe from the IC are welded together ( I did not do this setup so ask Chacko ) to allow for less noise and chattering.

I will get more pict of his current setup when we get back from bandimere tomorow night. Currently my car is stripped out and this shoudl be a fun day.
