so i put on some blue top dsm 450cc injectors on my 95 civic d16z6 and now the car won't rev pass 5500 rpm. any ideas on the problem? everything is stock, including the ecu...was gonna turbo like next week so i planned on putting on the injectors today.

 

You didn't install the resistors did you :1

You probably fried your ecu.

you are running 450cc injectors on a stock map? thats almost twice as much fuel your putting into the motor now, does it run like crap? put your stock injectors back in until you have a base map on a ecu for 450's.

 

i did install the injectors myself. i followed the writeup on hmt. so what is the issue with it? basemap?

 

Doesn't matter who installed them. Did you install the resistors/resistor box?

 

 

You are flooding your engine! The computer think you have 240cc (or whatever it is in d16) and you put 450cc in it. What do you think happend? If the computer say to the injector "pulse 10ms" to the 240cc and "pulse 10ms" to the 450cc, you understand that the 450cc flow more, no? Wait for the turbo n00b

AND CHIP YOUR ------- ECU! Check if you need resistor box also...

sell them and buy yourself a car with a warranty, you fail at thinking.

 

i actually put my 450s, resistor, and ecu a week early to simplify the turbo install. The car ran great on the map and even got decent gas mileage!

 

your base map is set up for 240 injectors not 450s thats why it runs like ---- take them out till you turbo your car and have it tuned.
