Default fuel pump safety??? wiring aftermarket pump....

I bought a Xenocron fuel pump for my Sedan and had a question about the wiring part of the installation.
Do you solder the connections and heat shrink them. or do you use butt connectors? I ask cause it came with no instructions and what i did was use the oem connectors that sit in the tank and connect to the oem pump and splice them into the Aftermaket wires supplied by xenocron. Is that safe? will the chemicals from the fuel eat away at the heat shrink? The last thing i need is to blow up and never finish my sedan.

Info in appreciated as well as experience users who have dealt with installing similar pumps like this or a walbro.

Thanks!

post some pics of the two pumps? Can't you just swap pumps and attach the wires to the new pump? Why the splicing and whatnot?

because the OEM mounts via nuts ont he OEM pump and the xenocron one uses a clip that goes to the pump. so you have to use the aftermarket plug from the pump and use the OEM connectors and solder or cimp them.

Pics speak louder bro. What about covering it in epoxy and then heat shrink it. It's just the wires being in contact with the gasoline is kinda

Doesn't matter. Gasoline is not a good conductor of electricity and even so, gasoline can't ignite without oxygen.

Julio, just use butt connectors.

There were 2 screws on my fuel pump assembly i just wrapped the wire around them and tightened them down and my ---- ran fine.I broke the plastic things that covered them tho.
I put two zip ties around my fuel pump to keep it in place.
Good luck.
