i have a sohc zc and i wanted to know if a z6 or a y8 vtec head would work i was told it would not work whats yours guys input in this

 

they should all swap between eachother from my understanding.

 

I'm confused, I thought zc motors were DOHC Someone set me straight with knowledge

 

i guess not there a sohc zc in mine zc thats what the block code says on my motor

 

the zc engine has three models sohc, sohc vtec, and dohc answer your question yes you can swap the z6/y8 head on the sohc block

Its not worth doing a mini-me, leave the motor the way it is and boost it.

 

+ like 15 there are so many versions carbed sidedraft,downdraft carb,brown valve,pre obdo o, sidedraft obdo zc sohc, downdraft carb dohc zc brown valve,downdraft sohc 1st gen,downdraft 2nd gen, sohc vtec obd1,sohc vtec obd2, etc etc etc



I have owned almost every zc since they use to be like 200 bucks I would swapmotors if I got bored
