4th gear completley out, 2nd gear grinds all the time
H23 M2S4 transmission.
I got it for free, it's now on my engine. The guy I got it from got it from another guy that claimed all that was wrong with it was a "bad" 4th gear.
Drove it today, it makes noises in all gears. It grinds going into 2nd even if I rev match. There's absolutely no 4th gear. It's like it's not even in gear.
Now, I'm sure it's fucked, but I want some more specifics. What parts can it be and do you guys think it's repairable? I'm going to rebuild it myself, if it's fixable.

SOunds like its done. FOurth and second are primarily the gears that like to shed all of their teeth under enough power.
You could give it a the reacharound treatment and stick a new fourth in it.......
But you need to pop that ****** apart and lookey cee inside

---- H2B.
I have an accord, so not happening. For the money it costs to do an H2B conversion, I could have an H trans built by gearspeed.
Anyways, I'll take pictures of the carnage tomorrow after I get it out. I definitely plan on rebuilding it myself. I just got done rebuilding my engine and it wasn't a challenge whatsoever. I'm up for rebuilding this sonofabitch if it isn't going to cost too much. If it costs more than $500, then I'll just buy another trans.
But I'm getting an H22 trans for $100 from a buddy. The only problem with that is 5th gear grinds anywhere above 4k rpm. Which I have no problem with really. The tranny is going in a DD accord. Not some racing car.
