ok well iv been building this engine lately for the race track..not drag, but road course...which means egt temps and engine temps might get rather high due to the amount of time the car is going to be beat on...so i was deciding if i should run an oil cooler...the engine is a Z6 turbo proably around 12-15 pounds on a disco potato ...but in return of installing the oil cooler i was thinking if the factory oil pump can handle it? im not to sure about how strong it is what do you guys think ?

 

Is it a honda of a ford v8?


If its a honda and has the factory oil cooler I wouldent even bother with it. If it dosent have the factory oil cooler I would rock a small aftermarket one.

Just rock a small one. If you are just using a half rad intended for a 92-95 civic then it will most likely have the ports on the bottom that were the old trans cooler. You could run them through that.
