I just took the 2nd bolt out of mine all together and just vise gripped it to the fence. It completely sucks doing them with a chop saw. Remember I told you that. You will hate it about the 2nd cut.

You can do it as i stated above. Just go easy and let the blade do the work. If you push too hard you will kill the blade and slow it down too much.

Well on my 14" I drilled & tapped extra mounting holes for the fence to ride on for clean 12-15* miter cuts on 1 1/2", 1 7/8", 2", 2 1/2" & 3".
On the bandsaw instead of drilling into the deck what I did was get some angle iron & cut it down afew pieces to about 5" long. Then drilled mounting holes for them to clean cut the same cuts.

Miter cuts on a chop saw are easier to setup, but its 30,000 times more dangerous of a cut so dont be newbish, and don't be infront of the workpiece for when you eventually sling a disk, or a pipe.

Welding / normal vice grips, and small C clamps go along way to securing the pipe too

I tacked the pipe for mine at an angle to some plate and put it in the ------- band saw and stood there and watched it do its thing. Worked great.

Not to mention atleast for me you have to take some sandpaper rollers to clean up all the rough edges from the blade. Im going to work on my hf bandsaw this weekend and hopefully get it to cut straight Ill proably be bugging ya again csaddcit about that.

what's wrong with the cut? usually it's not enough tension on the blade, and if it's wandering you need to adjust the tracking on it.
