Default OBD0 vtec wiring question

I just had a quick question.... I am wiring up vtec to my b16 in my Ef Si hatch. I know you connect the Vtec solenoid Green wire to ECU pinout A8. My question do you have to hook up the Vtec oil pressure switch to B5 also for the vtec solenoid to work? I have always just wired the solenoid single wire to a VAFC or controller and it has worked. If I don't hook up the pressure switch, second 02, knock sensor will it still work just give me a Check engine light? Thanks for help just curious

If you dont wire up the 2nd o2 and knock the car will run like ***

yes you need the pressure switch wired up without that no vtechhhhhhhh

If you switch to obd1 you can disable all of that wiring and run single wire vtec
