Default need help on specs of this turbo....

according to the seller, its from a 1980 Buick Sport Coupe w/ 30k on it. supposedly no in/out or side play.

he has no info about it, its been sitting in his garage since 1982 when he replaced the car with a 350. So basically, it almost 30 years old

anyone have any type of specs on the turbo? i know that i will have to do weld a new inlet and outlet onto the compressor housing (or find a new hosing), but thats no big deal.

The numbers listed on the turbo are p/n 25512231 and s/n LDRO225 or LDR0225 (not sure if its a zero or the letter O)

here are some pics for your reference....

search for the stock buick grand national turbo specs, it might be the same, or you will stubble on
what the specs are on a GN/buick turbo forum.

thanks for the suggustion ryan. i did try to fit some searching for all kinds of things that dealt with turbo buicks but never ran across the specs of this particular turbo. I did find info on the newer turbo that was on the grand nationals, but thats about it. I will do some more searching today since I will have some more time at work to do so.

i was hoping that one of the turbo spec guru's knew off hand.

yes its for a carbed 1980 Buick Sport Coup with the Turbo'd 3.8 v6. I don't know how much its worth in the market, but i have searched ebay and other online shops for the info and nothing can be found. I like to think that i can find info on anything on the net, but this one is proving to be a little difficult. The one website forum that should have the info doesnt have a search function unless your a member, i may just sign up today, didnt really have time yesterday. Then maybe find out how much it might be worth and find the specs on it.

The seller is local and only wants $50 for the turbo and carb intake and didnt supply the info about any numbers on the turbo. I will ask and see what he says.

this is what i am finding...

Turbine A/R - 0.82
Compressor A/R - 0.42

other pictures i have located have this listed as an AiResearch turbo. So, i would bet the housing are easily swapable.

can anyone confirm?
