ok a very good friend of mine is getting marry tomol (pretty much tonigh) and i have yet to decide what to wear....
i am thinking black dress pants + black shirt or white ---- + pink tie
or black dress pants + white shirt with strapes + black wool knit....
I am not a big fan of jacket but no matter wtf i tried on it just doesn`t look formal enough

If I'm related to the person, I'll dress up in a suit, jacket and all. If not, khakis and a dress shirt works for me. A tie if I want to be more formal.

 

Whatever you wore to work cause if he just told you about it that's what he deserves. If your slacking what to wear, just whatever is clean in your closet becuase your probably slacking on laundry and you won't have much else to wear. If he just told you, I'd assume your not one of his best men or part of the wedding so just a nice outfit so do fine.

 

If you're between 13 and 25 always have one sports coat/blazer.

you should NOT be wearing a suit, or tux to anything unless it is specifically a formal function.

 

u should have one decent black suit for weddings and formal ----!

 

dress pants and dress shirt FTW, throw in a tie if you wnat to extra special. i think my last wedding i wore khakis and dress shirt. then your not over dressed and not the guy in jeans lol.

 

The trick to dressing up nicely is have one good pair of pants. Then hit up Marshall's or TJ Maxx or something like that and buy dress shirts and ties to change things up if you don't want to be seen wearing the same thing every time. In your case, it sounds like you have some dress clothing, so just put it on and forget it. The only time I'd put some serious thought into it is if there was some above average ----- that was going to be there and I thought I had a reasonable shot at sticking my dick in it. If you don't think that's going to happen, bare minimum is the way to go.
