I was takin a look at doing a timing belt on a Porsche 944 and I know that one of the other Honda series has them so I thought I'd ask here for those who's engine IQ is higher than mine.

Why don't D series motors have and or need a balance shaft?

 

They're meant to keep vibrations down since 2.2 liters is a bit big for a 4cylinder honda engine.

Smaller engines don't need it because they don't vibrate as much I guess.
