well guys its not about me, its my friend. he had a 91 si with a b18c5 swap in it with another 4 grand into it with such items as skunk2 stage 2s portflow head je high compression pistons ectewct....well tonight he dropped a valve and grenaded the whole thing. he wasnt even beating on it. 5 grand and it went. the worst noise i ever heard. the head is gone....its sad

 

that really sucks.

why do valves drop like that?

 

oh my god, ali killed the c5? ---- man, that car was perfect. was it running ok till it blew apart? did mike and tonys have anything to do with its demise? dude that sucks. if there is anything i can do to help with a rebuild, let me know, ill be there. ad btw, when we gonna meet up to get andy that exhaust and for you to give me my cash? let me know man.

Is there a warranty on that head? Did he get it new or used?

 

he got it brand new. he wasnt even beating it. we were driving down the road. he hit 7000 in 2nd gear, shifted to 3rd and it just let loose. he has enough ---- into that motor so hes gonna part out the whole longblock with all the boltons and internals and build a ls turbo for next season. everything happens for a reason i guess.

brett ill let andy know you still want to slang him that exhaust and ill send you some loot as soon as i come into some. my birthday is thursday so well see what i get...
