anyone here using sandwich plates inbetween their oil filter and engine block for the oil feed to the turbo? These things are normally used with oil coolers. I have one on my turboed CRX but was told the other day by a mechanic that i should tap straight off the block

 

I have done that before, but I used a 'T' to tap into the oil cooler return line. Your not routing all your oil through your turbo are you?

how do you mean? I have a sandwich plate with an outlet and inlet for oil cuz its goes to my oil cooler. I have just taken a link of this tube just before the thermostat for the cooler and then run it to my turbo for the feed.

 

you can't run the line from the plate directly to your turbo, the volume of oil flowing through your motor is too much for your turbo. What he is saying is that if you want to set it up like that you should split the line with a tee and run one line to the turbo and the other back to the plate. I thought about running a setup like that, but i'm gonna go with one of those sweet line kits that stealthmode is sellin.
