They could also compare the new hybrids eg. prius to the civic vx which still blows a prius away in fuel economy. Good ol' vtec-e.

Hell yea I'd been searching for a decent priced stockish VX and finally found one...only getting mid-low 40mpgs right now but thats still amazing...I have a spare VX swap to which I'd love to find a clean 88 CRX HF to throw it into...gonna shoot for 60mpg with that

 

Damn you, I want a VX swap. :P the 23 mpg in my buick is beginning to kill me...

 

There's a clean 92 vx here in london for sale for 3500 bucks. I wish I would have known about it before I bought my beater.
