Ok so next week I am going to embark on my drive down to Florida and I'm pretty nervous becuase my car is not intercooled. It's only a four hour drive from Atlanta but the temperatures are reaching close to mid 90's. Is there any advice on how to keep everything cool? I was thinking of placing the filter lower to the ground to get fresh air and hopping it doesnt rain :P Most of it will be highway driving so I will not be boosting which will cut down on the heat. Again its not intercooled but I'm only boosting 4 pounds right now with my setup soooo.....Any other suggestions? If I'm being a ----- hole just let me know, I'd rather know that I'm just over reacting.

 

man i just made it back from florida we drove a 89 cutless down and back al the way from virginia it ran hot the whole way, but no wories just do the damn thing

 

I think youll be fine. Especially since most is highway driving. And florida isnt that hot. Im in south florida. Where you headed?

If you are really nervous, pull the actuator rod off your waste gate, no boost no problem.

External wastegate Its no big deal. I'm just gonna leave around 5AM.......nice and cool outside= no overheating

 

Also just put your fan on a switch so you can run it from start up
