Default Scammer alert: Joshua Savage

the emails say it all, basically this guy is trying to sell a car localy, when the "car" is presumably sitting in washington
the price alone had me second guessing this
post was for a 1993 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo - $2900
http://montreal.craigslist.org/car/459730610.html

so heads up if your dealing with this turd :1

me:
how many kms?
and what needs to be repaired/replaced?, please be honest, quite interested
where are you located
thx

Joshua Savage:
Hi,
I am the owner of the 1993 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo that you have asked about. The car was purchased new and I am the original owner. It has always been very well maintained and garaged with very little use. The car is located in Washington with me and will be shipped from here on my expense. The car is in excellent condition. I have all the documents in hand(title, bill of sale, manuals, etc). The total price ($2,900)including shipping and handling because my wife works at D.A.S and benefit of their services once per year so your location wouldn't be a problem. We will make the deal through BidPay so we can be both protected and insured. I am waiting for your response with any questions you may have.
Thank you,
Joshua

so i played along
me:
Sorry for my curiosity, but why are you selling this on montreal forums if you are located in the US, not to be rude or anything but to make this deal work there are fees and brokerage for transporting a car into canada that does take time and finances to complete such a process. I was under the impression that this car was already in canada, therfore i will not be completing this transaction, especially not through a third party...
thanks but no thanks
P.S you should remove your listing from the canadian sites if your not actually from canada, just a heads up

Joshua Savage:
Hi again,
I'm very busy with my job and this is the reason why I chose to sell my car over the internet. The shipping is assured so your location isn't a problem. I want to use BidPay for our safety so here is how it will work:
1.First of all I will need the following details from you:
- Full Name
- Full Shipping Address
2. After I will receive the details from you, I will forward them to
BidPay.
3. After they will process your info, they will send us both invoices. The
invoice will send you the details on how to make a refundable down payment.
4. BidPay will contact me and I will ship the car to you. After you
receive the car you will have 15 days to test, verify and do whatever you
need to the car. If you will buy, then I will receive the down payment details
from BidPay so that I can pick up the money.
5. If you will decide that you will not buy the car, BidPay will refund
the money and I will have the shipping company come pick up my car.
If you wish to make the transaction, please send me the necessary info so
that we can proceed. I look forward to hear from you.
Thank you,
Joshua

me:
judjing from the fact that you didnt answer any of the questions in the email i sent you, im going to presume you didn't bother to read it, which unfortunatly means ur probably a scammer, well buddy, nice try, try someone who woulds actually fall for this crap, so stfu and get a rope

Dude are we in 1999 or something. like there have been 4 posts in the last few days talking about some of the most obvious scams like they are new ----. I saw this same ---- like 2 years ago, somebody selling a 2004 STI w/ 10K on it for like 10 grand or something in autotrader. of course he lived in england but the car was here

Do you really think thats his name? no different from the prince of Nigeria scams
