I'm going home this weekend and I want to bring my bike home so I can sell it. I won't have a truck to take it home for another week. So all I have is a 1995 volvo 850 wagon. The roof feels pretty strong and bikes aren't that heavy.

With some good straps would it work?

I cant think of any reasons why a sheet metal roof wouldn't hold a motorcycle. do it and don't be a -----.

 

once you get it up and strapped get some one to get on it, and drive around, take a vid of it

 

It'll fall off on the freeway, and you know how bay these bay area freeways are.

yeah, good point. How the hell you plan on getting onto the roof?

 

just when you think its all straped down and secure on the roof, ( hence, here comes the good part ) you hit a nice little dip in the road and the force
of the bike comes down as you start up the backside of the dip, CRUNCH, the roof caves in just enough to loosen the straps, the bike goes to the
left, no wait, its going back to the right, ahh ---- I shouldn't have hit the brakes. Oh well, I'll just TAKE PICTURES and say its HMT roadkill.
