Default self lubricating turbo ??

i was just surfing the netskeeeee when i found this http://www.boostisgood.com/start2 it dosent give much info or anything but at the bottom of the page it says there turbo's are self lubricating......never heard of it before thought i'd make a gay thread about it

air-foil bearing turbo's have been around forever. the major problem is that air foil bearings are not suitable for mass production.

Here is a pic of one, It looks like it doesnt even have a center section, I was looking at some pictures of them installed on bikes and some of them are mounted completely inverted, the turbine wheel was pointing directly at the ground, pretty cool stuff but it probably cannot support very big wheels or shafts, or horsepower for that matter.

Foil bearings are a neat product. Used in some turbines. I guess that it wouldn't be effective for larger turbos because foil bearings can't support the same axial load as a ball, roller, or journal bearing. They also wear a little on startup until it gets up to speed and creates the air pocket.

aero chargers are normal and need lube, it's just all self contained and shitty.
