AFC w/ vacuum advance?
I know people hate S/V-AFCs for tuning turbocharged vehicles, because they advance ignition timing. However, how would it work on a vaccuum advance distributor? I know that boost will cancel out any vaccuum advance, so will the AFC modify fuel tables without having ignition timing modified?
If the car has a vacuum advance dizzy then the timing is controlled mechanically through vacuum not through the ECU. SO I guess the ECU only controls fuel on such a vehicle. The AFC shouldn't touch timing because your ECU doesn't control timing at all right?
