Sounds like another take on Smokey Yunick's hot vapor engine. This schmuck has a couple patents by changing Smokey's original work in seven piddly ways, but I guarantee it comes down to heating gasoline until it decomposes to a parafin and an olefin. :1

if you feel like reading about Smokey's setup......I found the PS mag that dad saved. I'm only posting the links due to the LaRGe scans.

Don't know if you guys had seen those, or that one with the guy in Korea who did it to his Camry, or the one about Stan Meyers getting murdered.

Which gasoline is already made of. So what alkene and alkane are the gasoline forming? Gasoline is a pretty light hydrocarbon to start with after they crack the larger hydrocarbons in the process of making gas. so the alkenes and alkanes we would be talking about would be ---- like hexane, heptane, butane, methane, propane, ethylene, etc. heptane is not something i'd want running in a car engine.

who gives a ----? go-kart does 0-60 in 5 seconds & get's 92mph... Sounds like every go-kart i ever heard of powered by an effeciency minded bike engine and a really tall last gear.

1) typically going beyond a 15.2:1 A/F ratio gains very little in economy.
2) modern port injection engines are running leaner than 20:1, while modern direct injection engines are running down to 25:1-50:1
