Just bid up to what you would want to pay for the item, you can't "lose" that way. I do that with ECU's that i send to xenocron. I figure out how much he pays for that ecu, subtract shipping and what I decide to use as a profit and bid accordingly. whatcha bidding on :P

Jesus man, what does that net you, a $0.23 profit? I could think of 5000 other ways to make 5000x more money.

I make atleast $15 per ecu :P Seriously it doesn't take much time. I do a search, go through the ones that are cheaper and bid up to a certain price. If it works I'll get an email that I won, I'll pay and pop it in my civic. If it works, it goes on the pile to be sent out to xenocron. From start to finish it takes about 10 minutes of my time, at one point I had 15 ecu's lined up to send to him and it took no effort on my part. Now, that kind of sucked since right after I bought those he said he didn't need any more, but I still made a few bucks off of each.

It's better than going to the junkyard to score ecu's, since its an hour away and I have to do it all myself :P

So you have to make enough to cover shipping to you and shipping to Xeno? You would have to get them for pretty cheap to be able to cover shipping+make $15 per ECU. That just doesn't sound like a very profitable business.......

No, it's not profitable, and it usually doesn't work lol. About a month ago I bid on 16 ecu's I think, and I only won 1 auction, but it worked out, I made $20 on that and I had an ECU from the junkyard that I made $35 on. At this very second I'm winning 5 ebay auctions for ecu's, if I don't end up winning that's fine and dandy, this is just for pocket change on the side, mostly just to pay for gas.

In the end I end up making about $15 per ecu usually, even after shipping to xeno, maybe sometimes morelike in the $11-13 range but oh well, the guy on ebay makes money, I make money, and xenocron now has another ecu to chip and make buku bucks, everyone wins :P
