So I call up the machine shop where I dropped my b18a1 block off at to get some work done. They were succesful getting the old broken main stud out, and they said they were still working on replacing my rod bolts. Unfortunately they said they "can't" do the line hone on the mains for me to match to the new ARP main studs I got. What a crock of ----. :P This motor has to go together this weekend regardless, as my subaru legacy I've been driving is dying a slow death from tranny issues. Has anybody used the ARP bolts at slightly higher than stock torque specs and been ok? I can't wait around another week or 2, I don't think my suby's gonna make it.
