the turbo motors were 2.0, so idk if the manifold would fit, but id go for the 14b turbo with blue tops. As for how long it would last, without engine management, id say about 3 hours.

Oh man, the 1.8's are downright horrible to boost unless you can shell out $ for custom parts or fab really well. You'll also need to know how to work a standalone ECU which it sounds like you can't do. Even fully built they suck ***.

As for the 2.0T swap, that too is way more trouble than it's worth, and will cost you a bunch. As for parts of any of the 4G63 turbos or non-turbo 2.0L hell no the manny won't work and most parts won't. It's a totally different motor. It's a single cam, if I remember correctly.

Sell it for $400-$700 if it's running and the boidy is straight and then put that $ toward the purchase of a turbo model. You can get the FWD turbos that need work for next to nothing. AWD's needing work $1000-$1500. You'll be much happier that you did and you'll save lots of $.

at 157 posts you really should't call anyone a noob and I dont know about N/A talons but try use an FMU and boost 6psi on a 14b and then carefully adjust more boost till ya hit lean then back off. cheap and very doable! or over here I see turbo DSM motors al day long in the boneyard going for 100-200 a pop, maybe ya should swap....maybe.

you're never going to mod your car, so just quit now and stop wasting everyone's time talking about it.
