where's the power?!
I had performed a DOHC head on SOHC block swap and the car just hauled *** all the time till i blew a H gasket and ran no water cause W pump was broken. once the water pump was changed and I tried to start the car it filled with water and idled like ---- with the help of ether. I put the car in the shed and didn't touch it for a month. I then pulled off the head to have it resurfaced cause it was warped bad and slaped it back on the way I had it before . bought new plugs, new main relay set the timing perfect and got it to start.
long story short, the car is now slow as hell like Im pushing 30 horses. it tops out at 70 on a down hill freeway run and takes off from starts like a snail. could the rings have been shot with the head off if they were good before ( the cylinder did fill with water)or is it the valves causing a loss in power.

I dont know how many times I have to repeat this
If anyone has actually taken apart a normal run of the mill honda block w/200k+ they are beat
Low compression. Scaring on the pistons/bore. 1mm overbore imo on every single one
Hence why jdm blocks are so nice. Even the beat of the beat motors of there are cherry compared to a 20 year old sohc block from the states
Compression test.Leakdown test. Timing.
welcome to the world of hondas. You better have a strong will cause well there is a reason why people dont do this ---- anymore
its alright cause I just toasted the motor. I was boostin pretty good in the school parking lot and i let the car idle and it just died. tried everything but motor wont kick over for ----.
Im going to pick-pull on sat to pull a D15 out of a weak *** auto. been to the boneyard but never picked up a motor, should I get the warranty, should I get an auto cause it was probably not driven hard, or just go D15B7 from a fifth gen.
oh and the problem with the motor was wear and tear and a shitty valve adjustment killing the comp! :P
it died on boost!
