dsm t25 chra in t3 exhaust housing??
Wondering if anybody has done it and does it affect spool/durability.I have a xs power exhaust housing and a good dsm t25 chra and they fit.Reason i want to use a garret t3 exhaust housing is my cast manifold and able to keep ac.
I don't think that is doable for at least ONE reason, the compressor cover on the DSM turbos(at least the 14b's) is held on by a snap ring, I IMAGINE the T25 is the same way....The same part on a T3 is held on by bolts and 2 plates...I don't see why you would even wanna bother with the tiny T25 anyway. It'll spools up fast, but stops making any real power at relatively low rpm's.
read again CspecRun. he's talking about the turbine housing. not the compressor.
The t25 chra in a t3 turbine hsg wont work because:
#1 the T25 wheel is smaller than the hole in a t3 housing: You'll have ¼" gap all around the wheel...
#2 the T25 CHRA physicaly doesn'T match the t3 turbine.
What's the size of the t25 turbine wheel?? i do have a bunch of t25 turbine housings that I will almost give away for like 20$.
