I'm in Nashville, TN (Born and raised in Chicago). I have a 1998 Ford Expedition 5.4 V-8 4x4. I have yet to find any info on adding a turbo to it. I found that STS Turbo sells a Universal Kit however, they want far too much for it. WHat exactly would I need to add a turbo to my truck. I know it's not a 4 Cyl car like most of the readers on this site, but any info would be of great help and appreciated.

I have a lot of space underneath my truck. However, it's a daily driver and I only want minimal boost to gain better MPG (My alternative solution to buying a diesel Excursion which is more efficient and gets better MPG even though it's 3000 lbs heavier..). I don't plan to race my truck nor drive like a bat out of hell, just want a tad bit more power with better MPG.

The info you pointed me to is worth it's weight in gold. However, it only addresses (I think) 4cyl applications.

For a rear mounted setup you will. You simply need to make a cheap copy of the STS kit. Pipe with turbo flange on one end that will attach to your exhaust on the other, piping to take charge air from turbo to TB, oil lines and fuel management. Done.
