My girlfriend got a V3 RAZR for free a few days ago. It was permanently locked, supposedly I had to send it in for Motorola to unlock it. They wanted like 60 bucks for it, so I said ---- that and did it myself. That wasn't hard at all, works fine. She didn't like the phone, so it's now mine. The phone was Cingular's, but I have T-Mobile. Now that it's unlocked it works for me... but I can't get it to surf the web, do any IM stuff or download anything. I'm assuming since the software is Cingular's and I have my TMobile card in there. Is there a way to load the Tmobile software or do something so it can function like it's supposed to? Thanks.

Oh, and I'm fine with modding it if that is what it takes.

You have to update your "wap" settings. The wap network/address/whatever should be wap.voicestream.com and it's probably set to wap.cingular.com. Just look on tmobile.com for web settings, or call a rep and ask. I have them on my own phone but guess what I'm ------- lazzzzay

 

just go to the tmobile web site and they will send all the settings directly to your phone. There is a link on the tmobile site somewhere.

 

Oh yeahhh, I used to have the link to it back before it was public access. Now that you mention it, I remember it was the "data configurator" found it on google easy:

you can unlock that mobile from Prounlocking.com to make it access with your sim .
