I took a look at that thing last night and then I put a deposit down and took it home to have it checked out by a mechanic.

The guy is asking 3300 and said he could go down to 3000.

The bike needs new tires, a new fairing bracket, sprocket and chain in a bit.
Its got some scuffs
the handle bars are slightly bent (not enough to matter, just enough to negotiate with)
theft recovery = salvage title minus the wreck.

13000 miles, sliders, exhaust.

I took it to a local shop and the guy said it was worth about 2500. first of all how much would you pay, and second, how should I get this guy to go down 500 from his "lowest"?

I'm not afraid to walk away but i do like this bike a lot.

they're barely bent... i didn't even notice untill the mechanic pointed it out... at the top of the grip there is a gap about the thickness of a dime..

 

If you really like it, give some leeway to the tune of 2700 or so. If he bites, awesome, if not, get your deposit back and keep on looking.

 

13000 miles? ---- that things been around man. its ready to take a ---- on you i'd be very wary.

 

ya... i ended up passing it up... now im just on the lookout for a 600cc sport bike around san luis obispo or san fransisco for 3k or less... if anyone sees a good one let me know.

so the clip on is cocked funny on one side or the actual tripple is bent?clip on bent? bikes dont really have handlebars it has clip ons cause your clip on can turn if it falls over hard in a drivway. otherwise its been down hard
