ok, so my 200 piece craftsman took kit don't have a socket thats big enough (bigger than 22mm and 7/8") for the oil pressure sensor on my d16z6. who out there knows what size socket i need to take the damn thing off because i tried a crescent wrench and didn't get very far....

 

I think i used a 1inch impact deep socket if i remember correctly.

 

Metric equivalent works too - it's actually a metric size, but since it's held in with 15 ft/lbs torque at most you won't hurt anything using an SAE alternative.

 

It's either 7/8ths or 1 inch, or 21 or 22mm in metric. Like JD said...you won't hurt anything either way taking it out.

 

ford and toyota used a 24mm 6pt socket to get the stockers off. 12pt just rounded it off

24mm deep socket. 1" works too, but only a 6pt socket. Don't try a 1" 12 pt.

A shallow will work, but you are gonna have to only put the rachet in half way.

Hell, I have even used a crecent wrench. Helps if it is short, but can open wide.

 

I just removed one with a 1" wrench...you're right...24mm. I got confused with my Subaru's crank pulley bolt. :P Or just use a big pair of channel locks.

 

channel locks are you friend. Also the locks work great on knock sensors

 

I tried a crescent, I don't know how much those sensors are and it was slipping so I quit. I know they are cheap but money is money, and I didn't want to have to take a trip to the damn parts store for something stupid that they might not of had in stock.

Miller is delivering my Syncrowave 200 this week! I ordered my wideband last week, and I'm gonna sit down tonight and order some stainless and flanges.

The rust rocket should soon have a 14b on it. Maybe 2 months, max. I'll definatley keep everyone posted.
