i've got a problem and seems to be related to the feul system.

I was doing 200km/h on the highway at full throttle...air fuel gauge was reading rich, almost all bars to the right. then i heard a loud THUD! or POP/THUD sound! i got a little apprehensive so i let off the gas and stayed at 100 km/h. before that i used to idle VERY rich, now I am idling only 2 bars on the rich side. the main concern i have is when i am driving: I drive hard all the way to around 4-5000 rpm and the engine cuts off...like it gets choked or something. I am running a lot less richer and the car has trouble handling full throttle: it cuts out.

My problem has to be fuel related because i bought a brand new BOV, and sealed any possible leaks exhaust or charge pipe. I am thinking it could be the pump starting to give OR maybe the injectors are being overloaded.

uh a pop/thud sound is usually threads being stripped from to much pressure I think your problem is either going to be a blown fuel pump, or something worse in the motor itself.

 

if my fuel pump is blown, would i still be able to hit full throttle? it just seems that whenever the load on the engine increases the car freaks out and shuts off.

 

do a compression test. it might have stripped a headbolt out of hte head. even go and retighten the headbolts abd try again. remember to follow the pattern.

 

don't over tighten!

Theres an order to tighten down the head bolts, don't have a user manual or I would say. I am pretty sure you start outward and move inwards or something like that.

 

start in and move out in a cross pattern and you will be fine. but its always nice to have a book
