what bolts - hot side ford t3
the bolts holding the hot side to the center of my 60/63 t3 off a ford are rough shape, cant seem to find what bolts to replace them with, are they metric or standard? i know the heads are 1.2", they seemd to be 5/16" size but not thread was like them at the store, only one i found that would thread in is 8mm bolts but they seem a little loose in the threads
ya thats what i got but they seem a little bit loose when your threading them in, guess they;ll work. i thought garett was made in usa so i thought they would use non-metric hardware
No, they're definately metric, usually has the "american" metric head size of 13mm though. I used Honda 12mm head bolts on mine that was missing a few, works just fine. So yes, 8x1.25 pitch.
Right,
downpipe is all done, yay
drove the car back today for the first time, not so boggy anymore, getting a fair bit of white/blue smoke coming from the exhaust if i put my foot down but thats it.... and it wont idle...
just hope it survives the drive tommorow to the tuners... seems perfect whilst driving though....
ps.is it wrong to get a little aroused by the sound of turbo spooling and waste gate chatter?
