Default P06 on a GSR Motor

I chipped a 1720 P06 and did a VTEC conversion for my buddy's hatch that's running a GSR Motor. He says when he is crusing, the car bucks. I put a stock P72 BIN on the chip. Is there something special that needs to be done hardware wise for the GSR Motor?

Any CELs?

Nothing special besides disabling the knock sensor.

You mean IAB's. He's probably running the stock gsr intake.

You can Add IABTo P28 so that it can open the IABs on a GSR or H22 dual runner manifold.

IABs will have nothing to do with bucking during steady cruising...

I forgot to mention. When he uses his other ECU - a chipped P28 with a soldered-in chip we know nothing about, it doesnt buck at cruise.

De-solder the chip and throw it in your ECU. That is an easy option. Then you can install a socket on the other ECU and make it a little more functional while you are at it.
