Default 4-wheeler engine spark plug hole repair?

So, I picked up this 4 wheeler thats been in my buddy's yard for a couple years gathering dust and rotting away for $50.

The spark plug it uses is a tiny bitty 10mm, and the spark plug hole in the head is stripped to hell. Helicoil kits are expensive, so would it be cheaper (and possible) to drill it out and tap it for a 14mm plug?

In all it's glory, lookin a bit rough:

79cc's of raw unadulterated power? Yeah I got that

Started re-painting the plastics

Worn out hole:

There has to be sombody on eBay parting out one of those, either that or a online motorcycle junkyard. Of course if you have more time than money, pull the head and try to drill and tap it, if you destroy it, nothing lost but the price of the drill bit and tap.

I was thinking a heli-coil kit would be too expensive but after some consideration, it might be worth the $$ just to do it right.

I cant seem to find out what the thread pitch is on a 10mm spark plug.

You re in san diego rite? If so, Ababa Bolt in Nation City is the ---- at helping out with Heli-coils and related stuff. They should be able to help you out with what you need. They are in the center where the IN-N-OUT is. Call 411 to get the number.

you could take the head off, have that hole filled then re-drill and tap it.
