you live in CA, so your fucked. You pretty much better start dating one of those old chicks at the emissions place so you can get your car to pass visual and full smog check.

 

I live in pretty much Bumfuck nowhere, so I get away with about any kind of exhaust setup I want.

Right now it's dragging the ground shooting sparks out the back, and that's the way I like it.

 

FL is nice. you can drive around with an open downpipe all you want. i dont, but you can

 

Look on your states web page and look up the RCW's on it...

 

its illegal in every state in the US to remove an emissions control device from an emissions controlled vehicle...... i threw all mine away

so, like Jeff said you might have to ---- the ugly bitch at the emissions place to get your car to pass.... :P

 

It's illegal anywhere in the USA due to FEDERAL law. Now, once you get passed that. Your state/local law enforcement may, or may not ever care what you do.

In general, if you don't have emessions testing. It's not generally a problem. Just don't run drugs & get your car impounded.
