How many of you guys are running megaquirt? I have a few friends of mine running it and they love it, I have an older version in my closet..

On a more serious note, some of us cannot afford it, for example I'll be making my own water/alcohol injection system hopefully this year using a resevoir, a water pump and a boost activated switch, then using a wideband, EGT and such I'll tune it with different size jets to get it to give me the exact amount I need.

 

cannot afford what? megasquirt is $200 for a kit.

 

yeah and this is HMT so some cannot afford it, personally I can, I just choose not to since I would rather go the $50 way and make my own.

lol i wasn't about to call you cheap, but if you can build anything half as functional as megasquirt for $100 ill give you props. unless you've worked with computer hardware and programming that's not happening. i think you confused megasquirt and aquamist.

megasquirt= standalone EMS (fuel, spark, boost, etc.)
aquamist= alcohol/water injection

Yes, Canadian tire money FTW!!! so far I have accumulated $20 if you do the math that is alot of money spend at crappy tire.

I've run it in 3 projects... It's by far the best bang for the buck you can get as stand alone EFI.. Even running it as a piggyback... Note, I don't assemble them, so I pay a premium.
