Default ARP STUDS

arp head studs on a d16z6 needing tourque specs
installation instuctions say 60 ft lbs the internet site says 40 ft lbs which one do i beleive or do i have them both wrong...
needing help thanks

I think I did mine at 65 ft/lbs... that's what the box said with the ARP lube. I researched a lot on that and found people doing them at stock specs and up to 80 ft/lbs, so whatever you decide I guess. If you go past 65ft/lbs I don't think you can use them again because they will strech too much.

I have some brand new ones for sale if you ---- those up, so let me know.

I'll pm you if i need them and thanks for the impact story i'm not a newb....
i have them tourqued at 60 ft lbs and eveything is ok but under hard boost i start to overheat....

Back your timing down if it's overheating, that's usually the problem with the d-series blocks, your head gasket might already be fucked though.

Holy ------- BBKA sighting.

Id tq them to what ARP tells you to. Theres probably a pretty good reason they provide you w/ two different TQ specs based on the lubricant you use.

Yes there is, torque specs is a calculated science based on the size / material / depth of the threads. Definately follow what ARP gives as they took the time to give those #'s for a reason.
