Bad ECT causes no start?

Default Bad ECT causes no start?

anyone ever had a bad ECT and had a problem starting?

just test it with an OHM meter...

~2.0 @ 200k..

i got one ill sell ya...tested good per service manual specs... $10

hmm, not even sure if thats the cause of the no start. so i was wondering if a bad ECT causes a no start?

yes....

think about it for a sec... what does the ECT do? it provides coolant temp for fueling and ignition calculation... so if its fucked up how is it gonna provide the correct fuel/timing for it to run or even start?

Only car that had a bad one that I worked on, or bad wiring to it rather, was a bitch to start and ran like ----.

i tried unplugging the ECT sensor and tried to start it up. But it still wouldnt start. Damn it.
