Default compression test results

well the past few weeks my car hasnt been able to idle , unless you rev is up high. so i finally did a compression check and heres what i got. its a b16 turbo running 14 pounds with 8.5 spr pistons.

starting from right going to left
120 90 95 112
125 90 98 110
w/oil 270 260 170180 not sure if it matters how much oil you drop down tehre but the first two the gauge would just keep going if i didnt stop turning it over. lol. so ya i think its safe to say my rings or somethings shot. i have 8.5 compression pistons so it was around 180-160 when it was strong. kinda lame it didnt happen all at once i noticed my vac slowly get worse and worse untill it just wouldnt idle one day. so i thought i was getting a progressive vac leak. what do you think i should do take the motor out and see if i can just get away with replacing the rings? or could it be worse? it doesnt smoke much at all it does everyonce in awhile when its warming up. and at idle you can see little puffs coming out. i was hoping this wasnt going to happen lol. if anyone has any good "cheap" ideas let me know. im sorta thinking of buying a d-series to put in this car and sell it and by a older hatch. and throw my motor in it after i fix it.

well at first i thought it was the valves, but after doing the compression test and then adding the oil it had me thinking rings. and as of today it smokes lol. so ya somethings fucked. it sucks. but oh well. ill figure something out. it was actually pretty sweet i shot a flame out of my exhaust. its never done that. im running rich on warm up and low revs i needed to get it retuned. but now i need to fix it first haha.

i cant remember what i bought but its basically a stock head gasket. it looks cooper like. i bought it off one of the vendors on h-t. lol do you think it could be the head gasket? come to think about it the smoke was white and not black... so should i go out and sniff my exhaust and see if i can smell any antifreeze. the problem is its been losing oil and the antifreeze stays good i think. at first i thought i was leaking oil but now i think im burning some of it. because at first it was leaking but you couldnt even notice it between oil changes now it loses about a quart or so.

do a leak down test, then if i had to do anything i'd pull the head and see what's going on. From there you can decide to yank the bottom end, or slap in a new headgasket and do valve seals and go from there.

thats a sign of bad valve seals...the oil is leaking on the piston so when start the car it smokes.. so once the oil burns off the piston it stops smoking....
