So I have a canadian 88 Crx Si. I just realized my rear defrosters no longer work because aparently when the rear wiper was removed alot of the wires were simply cut
So I take off the rear piece and this is what I see, from the rear defroster piece, there is a ground to a bolt and a thick covverred black wire heading into the wire loom. There are 4 exposed, cut, wires.

Solid dark green
Dark green/ black
Light Green/ white
Black

Now there cut right at the intersection on the very far right side of the spoiler, Im assuming these 4 wires probably went to the defroster.

Why would that cause it not to work? How do I go about getting it working.

Check your fuses first, perhaps the wires for the rear wiper grounded out and popped the fuse for the wiper and the defroster.

 

Did you read the post? the wires are cut

Fuses are fine though

 

get a new defroster and match the wires. go get a book that has the wring diagrams and go to work. it's just four wires. its not that hard

 

On the rear window, there will be two soldered points, put a live wire to one, and earth the other one, put a switch and a inline fuse inbetween somewhere and it will work.
