So I go to work today at the local hospital where we are remodeling a room.. And I get in my truck to get my Bosch company battery charger and drill. And i'll be goddamned if they're GONE. Someone took all of my Bosch company tools, and then I go around the truck to the other side of the utlity bed and they also took 2 paslode nailguns (350+ each). I'm ------ pissed I had to tell my boss why I didn't lock the utility bed up the other day work. It's such a small town nobody ever steals anything and then all of a sudden they just take like 2k worth of ----.. They also took a belt sander, and an electric Bosch metal cutter. Everything has company numbers on it w/ permanent marker and its all engraved WCA on them. I had the cops out there and everything this morning, the boss was so pissed. I'm gonna keep my eyes on ebay int he next couple of weeks and see if anything pops up.

 

Atleast you still have your job. Shitty luck though.

 

The company has insurance for ---- that happens like this. The boss was pissed but he didn't like threaten my job or anything. I've worked for him for 3 years now and he can trust me around his home, doing work there when he's gone or around any of his equipment.

why? I guess the company should hire someone to sit and watch the truck at all times so nothing gets stolen We would have to give all of our employees a key to each of the 6 utility bed boxes and each time they get a tool relock the box. It would be so inconvenient and would take up too much time hunting for the right key to the certain box. Anyone who has worked construction knows what I mean.. This is kind of a freak thing that could happen to any trades business, especially in a bigger city. I'm sure it's a common thing it just sucks nut because it's my responsibility. I should tell the boss to keep the truck and that i'm not ready for this responsibility.

 

regradless, should have lock them up if there are 2 grand worth of tools, its like leaving twenty $100 bill in the box, why wouldn't ya.

 

i lock my ---- in my box when i go to home depot lowes and what not but when im on the job i leave it open. i have 2500+ in my truck. now i own all of it so its my loss, but it is to much of a paine to lock unlock lock unlock everytime you need something.
