Default new to forum - starting my HMT build!

whats up everyone...

i've been reading a lot of the threads at turbod16.com, and found that they have deeper pockets than the people here at HMT. Due to a limited budget, I'm opting to go the HMT route.

I just picked up a GT25 turbo from ebay for 55$, was this a decent deal? my power goals rest at 200 whp... i'm looking to mate up to a HF manifold and keep AC as well. Hopefully school work will slow down a little, and give me time to scour junkyards. i also plan an odb1 conversion since i have a stock 99 d16y7 and i want to tune it myself with crome

sohc-t ftw

no the people on turbod16 dont have deeper pockets

i bet theres more people here who moved out of there parents homes/own there own home than there is on turbod16

even if everyone here had thousands to spare on a setup u think they would buy a kit

how the ---- you get a GT25 turbo for 50 bucks prolly blown.. but even if it was u wudnt be able to get it for 50 bucks

i think i read that you cant keep ac with a hf mani adaptor..

if ur shooting for 200hp why not just use a t3\

you'll be fine just slap on a smaller t3 some 450's and a decent intercooler and turo up the boost

oh, really? i was so silly to think that a home made turbo would cost less, especially with people here sporting radiator hoses, DIY MBC's, PVC piping, and mig welding their own ----. i don't have enough money to go out and get a TiAL wg or a nice t3.

if i'm shooting for 200 hp, why not just use the GT25 that i already have?

i'm really sorry i can't afford nicer things just to gain your approval.

with the gt25 i plan on using dsm 450's.. including an FMIC, what PSI should i expect to boost at to reach my whp goals ? how much whp is my stock fuel pump good for ?
