Need more details on what version you are running...ud prolly be best off to just download the entire image with a key

 

all i have on hand is the Cd, can`t even log in to check the version
according to what it said on the CD it is "window xp professional, services pack 2 " LOL it is a cd that came with my friends dell desktop.

 

so just look up a cd key. It can be a bogus one, don't worry about it. Any key will get you through the install.

Then you can just download the updates from microsoft manually from their website and you are good to go.

 

i had already installed everything, been working fine but it keeps on telling me i have to key in the code with the first 30 day, this morning when i tried to log it it stated in the log in screen, and keep on asking for a code LOL

 

Thats a oem version and needs a special key. But that version is bundled with a bunch of bullshit. You might as well get another full image like someone suggested.

do u have a product id for a key generator?

Otherwise either scrap that version or if u kno anyone that has installed from that cd before, use a key viewer on their comopter

 

start with a new copy.
