My weird looking h22 manifold
Ok guys, I am almost done with my GT35R install on my forged H22.
I decided to take a few pictures while the thing is still clean!
The idea behind that bizzare looking thing was to make a 4-2-1 turbo header that would maintain AC, PS and front engine mount.
I basically wanted to segregate the exhaust flow of runners 2&3 from runners 1&4 in the hope to reduce the backdraft of exhaust flow that travels backward towards the 2 non-firing cyclinders at every engine cycle, which is one of the major causes of LAG.
Twinscroll turbine would be IDEAL for testing a setup like that but since the GT35R is NOT twin scroll, i made the manifold so that both sets of runners merge together at the very last minute before entering the turbo. The wastegate is also installed in that same spot so it equally discharges all runners.
Driving impressions soon... i'm now into tunning.
