I used to be on her daily for the past two years uptil this past May. I graduated from college in May and I was working overtime like a machine saving up for a house. Well I got a job offer from a police dept in Va so I moved from PA. This is the first week of the job and being in VA and I hate it. I hate the city that I live in, being away from my gf and I hate being in the police academy. It's basically boot camp and it sucks. I'll be in the academy for the next 6 months of busting my ***. Anybody have a job that they really like, and don't mind going to ? I was okay with my last job and with the overtime I was making good money and in PA where I lived the cost of living was cheap and you could get a nice houe for $60k, down here I make about the same as my last job but I don't have to work the OT here, but the houses are $150k and up. Makes me think I made a mistake. So i basically wondering if anyone has a job that they enjoy going to and if that exists in life.

 

well in my life experences you like your job and dont make dick for money or you make good money and hate your job...i am a labor in the union the least they send me out to a job for is 22.05 but i have made 23.50 and like the job title says LABOR thats what it means i bust my *** every day i go home with a sore back every day but cold beer always fixes everything

is the thread topic suppose to be a update of my life? because i was alittle disapointed when i read no lie. well you are sorta in the same shoes as i am. im trying to find something i like/want to do. but i think im just going to find a job that i can work my way up. and then start something on the side that i like to do. do what i want to do for me and hopefully make money doing it for other people.

 

I live in a small town where houses are like from 60k and up. my house was 72k. But i'm only an hour away from Louisville where alot of our construction work is. The only way to get ahead in life is to live cheap and travel a little bit to a bigger standard of living city to work. That's where the money is. Construction is fun.. i enjoy it and it's easy.

 

dude realesate sux i live in md and am thinking about moving to the oter banks or pa because of prices. i mean 350 k for a small house on less than an acre.
but i am a carpenter and love to do it. hate my employer but that is why i started my own business. hopefully before winter is out ill be rollin.
police acad is ---- but when you get out rock the overtime. i know some troupers but mainly corprals rolling in 100k a year with overtime so i say stick with it. plus i bet your benifits like health and retierment are kick *** as well. think a year or two down the road work hard and get promoted asap

 

Just wait until your done with the schooling and a full blown pig then you can do lots of shady ---- to make big dollars on the side
