crank pulley

on a crank pulley for a honda you have 4 notches 1 white td.....and 3 others one of those three is red what are those three for??

the red is usually what the stock timing should be set to. the ones next to it are +2/-2 degrees.
with a standard timing light the red mark should line up with the plastic arrow at the proper rpm.
