hi guys
can anyone tell me what kind of fuel pump my CRX has? it is a D series 1.6 DOHC. Will this have whats called a intank pump?

nope, they are in tank pumps. under that storage box behind front seats. there is a silver plate with 3 screws in it and 1 black bundle of wires. It's uunder there.

no that is going to be the sending unit for the gas gauge. you have to drop the tank to get to the fuel pump.

 

make sure the tank is empty i thought i head of a person dropping hte tank half way and going through the drivers side rear fender well to get to it on 1g CRX's.

 

i see so whats the device under the back seats for in 2G crx's? the one held down by three screws.

Uhm.. what are u smokin man, the pump is under that silver cover w/ 3 screws. Take the cover off, it wont expose the pump right away. You will see hard lines that look like brake lines going into it.. thats the fuel pump.

 

Dude, you are way, way off.
you MUST, I repeat, MUST drop the fuel tank to get to the pump in a CRX or 88-91 Civic.
Do us all a favor and take the pump out the way you describe it. Make sure to take pictures, I have to see that!

 

oops.. just checked .. ya you have to remove tank,. the fuel pump is on the rear side of the tank. that cover w/ 3 screws is on the front side of the tank.

 

how long does it normally take to drop the tank? and put it back? will i need any new parts from honda
