Default Z6 head on Y7 block????

will it work? I know there is no oil plug to remove but some one told me that I need 9 y7 head bolts and 1 zd. I was planning on using my old z6 ones considering they only have 1000 miles on em.

yes it will work, the y-7 is the same as a y-8 just make sure you have a wire for vtec or a y8 engine harness

I had no issues with timing, I did that exact thing. The only thing is one head stud won't stick up as far as the rest, but the entire nut will still thread on no probs.
