Default exhaust...

im about 85% ready to put a turbo in my car....but one thing i do NOT want is that crappy *** wraspy sound that peoples ehaust makes. ive only seen a few 1998 lx civic's with mufflers on them(dont knowif full ehustor not) but they all sounded really bad...what will i have to do to make sure that i DONT get that sound? i know to keep the respirater on but im sure there is more i can do.....i want my car be a really low pitch rumble thatis decently noisy that vibrates your car from just sitting next to you. does anyone understand what i mean? if this is a newb question i appologize

it's a honda it will never rumble it will buzz and sound like ----

unless

it has a turbo. Turbochargers change the sound of a honda so it's at least not going to sound like a pissed off weedeater but it will never have a rumble...

If you leave the "resonator" on and run a turbo....you won’t have a ---- can sound.

I am running a cherry bomb special from Checker Auto and a Dynomax super turbo. I think the two pieces combined cost me ~$50

3" turbo back exhaust with no cat/ no resonator, and a decent muffler will sound good, low deep tone and quiet in boost, no raspy weed whacker....

I can tell you with certainty that Honda's without turbo's don't sound raspy at all with the right setup. I had a built H22 EG two years ago. I ran all 2.5 inch back, used a glasspack turned backwards in place of the cat...got the longest one, then ran back to an HKS Hi Power canister. I was simply the meanest sounding NA Honda exhaust I have ever heard...and anyone who heard it would agree.

If anyone does an NA setup, use that combo I have and you WON'T be disappointed. It's smooth and very deep at idle...subtle, even under drive around throttle it's light with just a little sound...roll to WOT and that thing sounds like it's straight out of SCCA World Challenge. Alot of depth, no raspy at all whatsoever, and calm all the time except WOT...a very nice setup.

if your wanting an exhaust you can hear without sounding like poo i would just take off the muffler and leaving the rest off. my buddies gsr sounded perfect with just the cat and resonator. and its free :0 as for performance.... haha i have no idea
